Austins Guest House - Cardiff

The units were double superior and the staff were very helpful and amicable people on late request. The hotel was in a fantastic location, opposite the stadium. Cafe Madame Fromage located 1 km away was a nice surprise.

The location was incredible, not too far from Principality Stadium.

This was a return visit. Great location. Great value. Much better than a noisy Travelodge.

Relaxing hotel with free Wi-Fi and helpful and amicable staff. Central heating, multi-channel TV, tea and coffee making facilities available in the budget room. The property of choice in Cardiff.

Beds were so bad.

The location right in the centre of the city, plus there were parking facilities beside the hotel. Restricted to visitor permit holders. With the location we were quickly able to walk to the city centre witin five minutes and the walk was flat.

No problems at all.

I like the location on the river Taff, and it's closeness to day time shopping and tourist sites.

Like most over night places, they do not offer gluten-free products, like toast, at breakfast. So I chose not to eat breadfast there.. And there was no good place to go for dinner close by. (after dark)

Nothing to dislike

Nice location next to the city, a few minutes walk from the castle and the train/bus station. Ground floor room meant no lugging bags up stairs. Very comfortable room - loads of space to store gear. Friendly and talkative staff! Lovely informal atmosphere about the place made it seem really welcoming. Despite the bathro being shared, it was enormous! And very clean, good water pressure, etc.

Very thin wall with adjoining room, could hear everything the other guest was doing. There was a lot of snoring coming from that quarter too! Bedroom doors too close together, combined with thin walls, the sound of the other door opening made me think someone was trying to walk into my room.

We were welcomed right from the start and everyone was very friendly.

It said on your website that the Cardiff Ice Arena was less than a mile away so we decided to walk it. It took two and a half hours to walk and this information is well wrong and needs changing. We were looking for somewhere very near to the Ice Rink as we had young children with us and this ended up very inconveniant. Thankfully the Austins Guesthouse was very good otherwise I would be lodging a formal complaint.

Fabulous throughout..

Although said free wifi and tv..tv did not work ( no signal ) but we didnt mind as we were out for the nights there.

A train station is close to the hotel, very central location. The place is near Cardiff downtown.
